Re: Drivetrain Vibration while not Under Load?
Even when you aren’t on the brakes but off the gas you’ve got engine braking. You’ll need it in neutral to verify vibrations with no load or if they are drivetrain related. Confirm your new shafts have enough length but aren’t too long, you’ll need to pull the shaft on one end at least to confirm wh...

That all seems like legit pricing for a shop. You are paying the labor rate appropriate for also all the tools, consumables tech rate, payroll benefits, overhead and profit.

Re: Shock Length Question
aftermarket bump stops could make up for any issues at full compression, the straps for extension. the only way to know for sure is to pull the springs out and cycle the suspension checking the driveshaft for binding, but since this is on a front axle, id imagine the angles are shallow enough for th...

Re: No crank
Try a different key, these have an immobilizer in them. Not sure how the system works, but maybe that is having an issue.

Re: Shifter issue after lift kit
Looks like they installed a skid plate drop kit to correct the drivetrain angle to work with the suspension lift. If you take that out it’ll solve your shifter issue but it could cause vibrations in the driveshaft due to the sharper angles. Since you have a rubicon you have a double cardan joint so ...

Re: YJ/CJ brakes
I don't know anything about the brake issue, but I do have a 727 sitting in my garage I have no plans for. Just need to take the D300 off of it first.
Congrats on the new project!

Oh dang! Hope their insurance is good! You may want to use yours just to make sure you are properly taken care of instead of cheapest way out. You pay it, use it!

Welcome nice Tj. Under Cover Fab (UFC) About the best oil pan skid you can get. The stock gas tank skid gets beat up pretty good too once you start getting into the bigger rocks. I agree. I have the undercoverfab oil and main skid plates, both have held up extremely well to my abuse. I have a metal...

Re: Damaged lug nuts?
My ryobi impact is a ryobi, so even though it’s rated for 250 ftlbs, it delivers about 80. I break stuff loose manually before getting that on there. I try to avoid installing with the impact. But I’m just an untrained monkey with a hobby of wrenching.

Re: Damaged lug nuts?
After having a wheel come off while wheeling once, I learned how to torque em down properly. I use the impact to run em in, then actually use a torque wrench set to 85. No issues from then on.
