Shifter issue after lift kit
Just picked up my TJ from getting a lift installed. It looks and handles great, but now my shifter hits the plastic trim on the colsole and restricts me from positively engaging 2nd, 4th, 6th, and reverse. Is this normal after a lift or did the shop screw something up? It works fine if I remove the trim ring but looks rediculous. Only think I can think of is they dropped the diff but not the engine so the whole setup leans back? I will probably just shave some off the trim ring but seems like that shouldn't be necessary.

Re: Shifter issue after lift kit
Looks like they installed a skid plate drop kit to correct the drivetrain angle to work with the suspension lift. If you take that out it’ll solve your shifter issue but it could cause vibrations in the driveshaft due to the sharper angles.
Since you have a rubicon you have a double cardan joint so it may not be an issue.

2005 TJ, built and beat accordingly

Ended up removing the shifter and over bent it at the base. Seems to be working fine, just weird the kit wouldn't account for that
