Can't remember what brand of straps I use but I got them at tractor supply for less than $20 for a set of 2. I only use them on the front as I can tie the rear straps on to my truss. They're rated at 10k each. If your ratchet straps are rated for 3k and above, they'll be fine, more is always better though. I'd also recommend just getting 10' length straps, dealing with the excess can be annoying.

IIRC, my brake controller and wiring harness was less than $70. Mine was prewired with a 7 pin in the back, just had to hook up a pigtail under the dash.

X2 on the TSC straps. I have 4 of them for trailering my YJ.
They are 10K as Duncan said.
They also have nice covers on them to keep the strap from getting chaffed.

So far I know I need a brake controller but no idea what brand of tie down straps I should get. I was thinking of using axle straps because they seem to be a better idea. Any suggest on brands?

Tekonsha P3 they have a pigtail that plugs directly into the truck harness. Plug is on driver side kick panel I believe.

You can get a decent set of axle straps and tie downs at any swap meet.

And this is the rig all loaded up for Rausch Creek. I can now say that with the 3" leveling kit installed there is no difference whatsoever with handling. The front end is only slightly higher than the rear and you don't even notice once you're inside. Not sure I would have done it without the plow kit installed, but I'm glad I did do it.
