Re: Qudratec Soft Top
Knew it wasn't just me. Anyone have any feedback on the SoftTopper? Zipper gaps are an inch at least and no chance of stretching to fit either. I will be running gaps on both sides of the rear window and both rear ends of the side windows. Heater works though and we'll see if it leaks anywhere else....

Qudratec Soft Top
So, I need a new top and hardware since mine was ripped, bent, etc after a few years of wheeling. Looked at the frame-less / bow-less Softopper but bought the Quadratec brand soft top and the Rampage frame hardware. The Rampage frame hardware arrived broken and had to be replaced which Quadratec too...

Sullivan Tire, Hanover
So, Back in August 2011 I bought 5 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar 35X12.5X15 tires at Sullivan tire in Hanover. The manager, Eric, is a Jeep guy and has a black TJ Rubi with some mods. We of course talked Jeep mods. At checkout he offered me the tire protection plan which came to $140 for the 5 tires...

Awesome! We need a weekly update. Better than anything I've seen on TV the last month.

Re: 173 lbs of goodness
11.7:1, that should be enough to twist your rig in half if you aren't paying attention. I don't think I am smart enough for that kind of torque. Like to try though...

Re: Rust Never Rests
You are right Frank, and that's what I tell my wife. I plan to drive mine until I die. I am sure my Heep will still be running.

Re: Central Mass New Guy
Craig, Welcome to the club, and as above than you for your service. There are winter runs on the weekends which are my favorite as there is ice, snow, frozen mud, and no bugs. I don't make many summer runs as I am too busy. The club is worth it as its short money for access to lots of smarter than m...

Re: Rust Never Rests
I looked at the autorust.com parts and they look good to me. The question I guess is how much good metal do I have left on my 19-year old frame. Love to get a new mandrel bent frame but they are $2,500. Don't have silly money. Will just grind and weld until it holds a la Joe.

Rust Never Rests
My right rear shock hanger is rusting out, has been for a while. It is to the point now where the shape has deformed on one side from me slamming it around. The remaining metal is getting too thin to support the abuse. I have seen replacement shock hangers on frame sections that you weld on. Is ther...

Body trimming question(s)
I am looking at putting armor on my tub (so it doesn't look like Joe's YJ after a while. Not that there's anything wrong with that). I need to open up the rear wheel openings before I hang the armor. Not sure how to go about that. Is it as simple as just marking the cut line and trimming off the exc...

Re: Lower Low Range
The Lowmax kits looks great and I would be interested in buying one, if I had a Dana 300. Doesn't appear to be available for the NP231. Too bad as that is a good looking gear set.

Re: Lower Low Range
COH413, sorry, this thread has gone completely off topic. Any other questions about lower low range? No more questions. Always interesting to hear the comments though. I think I will hold out for the Atlas as it is the best although most expensive option. I know I wouldn't be happy with anything les...
