Re: Handheld 2-ways

One quick thing: If you are on a club run, DO NOT set your radio to "Voice Activated" aka VOX. Instead, set it to "PTT" or "Push to Talk", because what happens with voice activated is you end up transmitting without knowing it, and it clobbers any useful info coming fro...

Re: Cool little shovel

I carry a shovel as well, I don't think it's made an appearance at a BSJ event, but it's definitely done enough to deserve its spot. Having used a fair few trenching tools, I don't care for them at all. They're handy, and small, but tend to be terrible at being a shovel. So I grabbed a slightly lar...

Cool little shovel

I wanted to pack a small shovel to bring on runs. I poked around here and there looking for an old GI Entrenching Tool, but the ones I found were kind of expensive, and there are now new types. All of them get mixed reviews. Found some posts in other forums about what people liked and didn't like. I...

Re: OK, So anyone know what is with the Dealers?

I would be tempted to ask for an adjustment on that $700 charge, since they "didn't take it out and forgot to change the quoted amount." (This gives them an out). If they refuse, I'd put that bill or a portion of it in contest with the credit card company. I would wait until the new tranny...

Re: Locker Question

What would be the advantage of an "automatic" locker? Even on the trail, I am locking and unlocking via a manual switch based on what the trail is like.

I could hear fine on mine.

Re: New member from Lakeville

Bob & Donna, Great meeting you at the 101 as well. Thanks again for the video you took! Hope to see you around town for a wave. Keep in touch with other trail rides you are thinking of doing. Yeah, we're trying to figure out what's next. Trying to stay with "stock friendly" runs for a...

Key for Trail Colors?

I tried poking around and couldn't find anything on this. I've seen people posting about a trail being "green" then suddenly "blue" etc. Can someone please point me to a page that explains all this or fill in the blanks? Do the colors correspond to numerical trail ratings? From c...
