Welder conversion

Unread post by DDewar53 »

Hey John C - this is mostly for you, I guess, but anybody can chime in.

That MIG welder conversion that you did (I saw it at the Jeep 101) was a pretty cool deal. Do you think the little 70Amp 110VAC buzz box I have would be a candidate for conversion to 12VDC? What would it take, and would it be worth it?
Pacifism is a shifty doctrine under which a man accepts the benefits of the social group without being willing to pay - and claims a halo for his dishonesty.

Converting a little stick welder isn't really worth doing. You'd get the same results with a couple sets of jumpers and the rod (like in Moab).
You can't bolt on experience!!!!!!
