JKU EVO Build Code Name -Plan C-
I managed to hold off from modding my 2013 JKU Sahara in any way, besides some Safari Straps, for just over a year... but not so much anymore...
I just ordered 4" EVO Long Arm Lift w/Bilstein 5100's- Fox 2.0 ATS Steering Stabilizer- EVO Rock Slidders- EVO Rocker Armor- EVO Protek Skids(all of 'em)- ATX Slab's 17" x 9"- Nitto Trail Grapplers 35" x 12.5" r17 -Cobra lx29 cb radio -Firefly 4' -Rugged Ridge cb mount -Smittybuilt overhead console. I am picking up my new Miller Spectrum 375 X-TREME tomorrow to help with cutting brackets and general mayhem!

Not illegal, per se, as it is not DOT approved. And where you are technically a registered vehicle, under then DOT...
If you get into an accident, etc... I'm sure they will claim they are illegal hahaha
However, don't daily drive with beadlocks or excessive highway daily driving with them.

Hmmm guess I should have gone with the internal beadlocks... I only drive around 8k a year 90% or so city driving. Issue?

there is a lot of debate on the interweb about street legal and DOT approval. I would do some research and then sell me these at a significant discount... but seriouly there is debate about if you need DOT approval or not. Dont know of many cops that would look for a DOT stamp on your rims. all comes down to who is on scene and what they care about. I would google it and if you have a friend at the Registery or police officers ask them. you will get a different answer from each person you ask is my best answer.

Wow... There are a ton of people DD them with no issues and a ton of people saying not too... It seems is you do regularly torque them down and check air pressure.

Re: JKU EVO Build Code Name -Plan C-
There are only two Co. with DOT approved beadlocks. They basically paid someone to make them (legal). Thats what you pay for. I only meant it as a Joke to begin with. I drive on them (home made) city and highway. Do yourself a favor and be very faithful about checking the torque at least every month. Especially after wheelin and when they are first put into use. Do you know anyone that does everything their supposed to do ? Me neither ! FjR68
