Not sure if I am a member yet, but I did send in my application a few weeks ago. Looking to upgrade my 94 XJ with a 3'' lift and some 31'' tires. Hope to get out with you guys at some point.

It will be great to have another XJ on the trail. These CJ/YJ/TJ/JK guys think they are the $hit.

Looking at some of the pictures it seems like a lot of the members have those as opposed to the XJ andZJ.

We have a few XJ's here. We usually send them to the store to pick up groceries for the Baystate cookouts. They might even go hardcore and stop at the local mall for a quick trail ride.

So I'm probably going to get some used 31x10.5x15 tires soon. 3'' lift to come, maybe next paycheck or tax refund. What should I do for my gear ratio 4.11, 4.27, 4.56? I think I have 3.73 now, looks like the xj has a tow package and my mechanic said my ring and pinion was pretty worn so it should be replaced soon since it is really annoying. Not cheap though.

3.73 gears will work well with 31" tires. If you change ratio's you'll have to do both axles which is even more $$$ If you decide to change ratio's, think about how long you'll be running 31"s before you'd be going to a larger tire.

On a side note, how many miles does your Jeep have?
