New from Somerville

Hey Guys/Gals!

So I picked up an '08 Rubicon 2 door with a 6 speed back in August. I've looked around at a couple clubs, but y'all seem like the best fit for me. I mailed in my application last night, and I'm looking forward to getting out on the trail with everyone!

*Poison Spyder Customs Rock Brawler front and rear bumper
*Warn 9.5cti winch
Some ARB recover stuff:
*tree saver
*snatch strap
*30kg pulley
*cable damper
*4 1/2 ton shackles
*nifty orange bag to keep it all in

Ordered, and installing weekend of 10/1
*Rock Krawler 3.5" mid-arm flex kit
*Rock Krawler Emulsion 2.0 shocks
*Teraflex 2" bump stops
*XD Series 778 Monster rims 18"x9" 4.5" backspace (set of 5)
*Nitto Trail Grappler 35"x12.5" (set of 5)
*3rd brake light extension kit
*Spare tire extension kit (going to fab my own tire carrier on my rear bumper this winter)

Ordered, expect delivery near the end of October
*Poison Spyder bombshell front and rear diff covers
*Poison Spyder evap skid plate
*Superior Axel 4.88 ring and pinion set front and rear, and D44 rebuild kits for both

I already received my gears but I'm not going to do the install until my diff covers come in, they're on back order.

I live over by Inman, but I head over to Davis a good bit, and I think I might have even seen your rig recently. I actually have a pretty good project ahead of me, I'm thinking probably next weekend. I'm waiting on all my parts to come in for my suspension upgrade, everything should be here by the end of next week though. Shouldn't be a bad job, just new lower control arms, coil springs, shocks, sway bar extensions, and bump stops....so yeah I'd love to have a hand!

That would be great. This will be my first suspension lift installation. I don't anticipate any problems with the install, should be pretty straight forward. I will need to find a shop that can do a proper front end alignment with the 35's on there though.

Duncan - welcome from Mehfuh! You're going to like it here. Sounds like you have a good plan for your build. I always heard you should have a build plan....... I'm on V 3.2b of my build. But to be fair, I had no idea what I was doing for the first couple years. I just bought used parts and bolted 'em on

I'm tied up this weekend and next, but most weekends I'm around, in case you need a hand wrenching

Nice dude. I hate to tell you, but you're about to have some competition. I was voted best looking senior year, and my JK is no exception to the rule! Next weekend my 3.5" lift goes on with a set of 35x12.5 trail grapplers riding on 18x9 XD Monsters. What can I say? My baby is going to be one trail capable pretty boy! (and the 4.88s mean he's a fighter, not just a lover!)

I might nix the 18s ! You should ask the members their recommendations on wheel size. What I know with 15s and 35s I have enough sidewall to deflect when I air down. You wont have any sidewall with 18s and a much greater chance of popping a tire off the bead. You also wont get a bigger foot print when aired down due to the lack of side wall. Not tellin ya what to do, just tryin to help. Put the question out on the tech sec. See what the GOOROO"S recommend. If you already bought them , we"ll see what goes.And as for senior year I skipped that day, your lucky . Happy Trails FjR68
