So this is me...

Unread post by Hondarider »

Greetings everyone. Please forgive the moniker...I realize it's not very Jeepish...it's a carryover from a bunch of other forums that I participate in. I can't remember yet another screen name. Anyhow...life long Jeep addict...Army veteran...engineer...gearhead...amateur machinist/welder/mechanic...husband...father of two...gun enthusiast...patriot...motorcyclist...etc...etc...etc. Similar to most other Jeep-folk I've known. I live in the Berkshires at the foot of Mt. Greylock and I work in Pittsfield. I've owned CJs, YJs, TJs, and JKs. Currently restoring a 52 CJ3A, modifying a lifted M416, and driving a couple JKs. Looking for Willys parts everywhere I can. Hoping to meet a few like-minded folks to talk Jeeps and related topics.

Awesome Jeep Collection!! Welcome, from another Engineer from Pittsfield. Wonder if we work at the same place? I've seen something that might resemble your yellow JK that parks off Dalton Ave.

Small world. Yeah, the yellow Jeep was last winter's project. I enjoy tinkering in the garage all winter almost as much as I like driving. It's got Hanson bumpers, 4" Poly Performance lift, CAI, Gibson exhaust, and 35s. Next step will be axles and gears, but I'm putting them off for a while to play with the Willys. I'm having more fun searching the countryside for rusted old heaps and watching the vital fluids pool on the floor of my garage...all in search of that elusive early CJ mirror or wiper motor or seat frame.

Pictures of your 3B? I love the flatfenders. I just saw a sweet 3B in Bennington VT this fall.
