Tom Woods
Need to give a shout out to Tom Woods. I purchased a front DS from them back in October of '08. I was inspecting things before my trip this weekend and found that the CV metal seal had come off. Removed the DS and completely disassembled and greased the CV and u-joints, then pressed the seal back in place. Called them up today and mentioned the problem. I was looking for a rebuild kit. They stated that they had issue with a supplier back then, so the CV wasn't up to their standards. Ended up sending out a rebuild kit for free, even though the shaft was almost 2 years old (180 day standard warranty). It is nice to see a company not only fess up to a problem but fix it free of charge.

Just ask Dan Mick, woods is a great guy. Most often answers the phone himself.

Re: Tom Woods
Same thing happened to me last year right before FC. They sent me 2 rebuild kits and 2 new Gold Seal U-joints. Can't beat Tom Woods for his customer service! Half of the times I've called it was Tom that answered the phone.
I am the foremost authority on my opinion.

Re: Tom Woods
Tom replaced my cv joint as well, (it let go on the way back from Moab.) Apparently the supplier of that part has been replaced too...

As some of you may remeber I am on my 3rd rear drive shaft in so many years. All failures have been 100% my fault but each time the have helped me out and have charged me next to nothing while replacing the whole thing. Can't beat those guys.
