Wheeling For Warriors 2024

The 4th annual Wheeling For Warriors will be taking place on May 31st-June 2nd, in New Hampshire at Field & Forest Recreation Area. As previous years have shown, this event sells out within minutes, so set your timers and calendars now. Field & Forest is “basecamp” for the event. While this property is home to some of the most extreme trails (with requirements such as 2 lockers), not all the trails that event participants sign up for will be ON-PROPERTY. There are some OFF-PROPERTY choices as well, ranging from stock vehicles to buggies. For those who are signing up for trails OFF-PROPERTY, you still will meet at Field & Forest in the morning and convoy to the OFF-PROPERTY trails.

The event begins on Friday May 31st, at noon. You will sign-in at the check-in booth, be given a goodie bag with an event shirt (and hoodie if you order those with your tickets), and a bracelet which is proof of entry and your meal “ticket.” You’ll then set up camp, hang out, relax, and socialize. There will be a food truck, Taco Beyondo coming on Friday afternoon, if you’d like to order some amazing Mexican food, and not have to cook. Friday is pretty easy going. People will be setting up their tents, wrenching on their vehicles, hanging out, and most importantly, a time to socialize with each other. It’s a great way to get to know other people, and it’s an easy platform to do so, since you’re hanging out at the camp site, helping each other out, and just relaxing. As the day turns into night, people have campfires in the fire rings, sit around in folding chairs, laugh, listen to music, and discuss Saturday’s plans, and talking about everything and anything. This is where you get to meet 300+ of your new best friends and get excited for Saturday’s wheeling adventures. (There is NO wheeling Friday)

Saturday June 1st: Day of the event! You wake up, cook breakfast, there will be a coffee truck and get ready to hit the trails. Those that are wheeling off-property will gather and head out with the leaders. Those wheeling on-property will also line up, but not have to travel as far. After a day out of the trails, you’ll head back to the campground, where you can rest up, shower (there is a bathhouse), and enjoy what Saturday afternoon and evening has to offer: Who Cut The Cheesecake will be at the event, selling mini cheesecakes. You’ll have time to buy raffle tickets during this time, as well. There is a fully catered BBQ, and afterwards, the raffle will take place, where you have a chance to win some amazing stuff. Wheeling For Warriors is a fundraiser. The more tickets you buy, the more chances you have of winning, while at the same time, raising money for veterans. (If any of you would like to donate items to the raffle, you’re more than welcome to do so.) After the raffle is over, we have an incredible band, Something Reckless who will be playing. (They are going tonplay first set when eating) Afterwards, we all usually head back to our designated camping area and hang out again at the fires.

Sunday June 2nd: This is the time where most people pack up and head out. There’s also an opportunity for more wheeling on property. (Not a free for all, but there will be an organized sigh up sheet. There will not be any off-property wheeling, but for those that want to wheel on-property, your vehicle MUST meet minimum requirements.

Tickets will go on sale Sunday April 7th at 1800. This gets you a t-shirt, access to camping Friday and Saturday night, wheeling on the trails of your choice all-day Saturday, and a catered BBQ Saturday night. It’s so much more than that though. It’s a great time, and you will get to know people, and become more involved in the wheeling community. Most importantly, you also are helping to raise money for veterans by attending the event and taking part in the raffle.

I hope we have a huge turnout this year. It would be great to have this be the most successful Wheeling For Warriors, ever. If anyone has any questions don’t hesitate to ask if you have any. It’s an awesome weekend of camping, wheeling, socializing, all with the intent of raising money. It truly is a blast. I hope I was able to fully explain how great Wheeling For Warriors is, and I hope to see a bunch of you there.

While the on-property wheeling consists of some difficult trails rated for well-built Jeeps and buggies, there is so much more to the event that is also available to stock and slightly modified Jeeps, as well. The off-property wheeling takes place at Brookridge, Carnage, The Hilltop, and beautiful Class VI roads in NH. These trails range from stock to blacks/reds.

ON PROPERTY: (At Field & Forest)
Just a note to those who have never been to Field & Forest: These trail ratings are different than what you’re used to. Don’t over-estimate your ability and then find yourself stuck on the trail or holding everyone back. You need 2 lockers, working winches, and all red trails require 4-point harnesses or better and fire extinguishers. There is a high probability of body damage on these trails.
