Greetings Earthling Jeepers!

Unread post by Grey Warden »

Hi there! My name is Manda! Hailing from Lowell, MA. Really excited I found this forum and club! I was referred by some folks over at wranglerforum.com! I am super new to the Jeep owners community but not to the "fandom" (if such a word is appropriate) as I've wanted a Jeep since I was able to drive. I've finally saved up enough and bought one! (See awesome instagram-worthy pic below!)

I have a 2015 JK Wrangler with a 3.6L engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission in the color "Anvil" (and I've named him Thor. See... see what I did there? ;) ). So, very, very stock. For now ;)

I've been researching lift kits, tires and wheels mostly. I think I've settled on a 2.5 Rock Krawler lift kit with smitty tires and an M/T wheel.

Today is my first day as a member of the forums. I'm hoping to join the actual Baystate club perhaps next year when I've been able to mod the Jeep enough for club activities. Specifically, I've found that most clubs require winch/recovery kits so that's also on the list of planned mods.

I think thats all that's required for the introduction post! See yah round! ;)

Welcome Manda
We don't require a winch, just the recovery points (tow hooks) that appear to be on the front of your Jeep already. If you don't have the back one, I've got 2 that I'm not using. Other than that, there's a short list of inexpensive required equipment that you can find here:

http://baystatejeepers.com/join-now/requirements/

So why wait! Join the club, come to a stocker friendly event and have some fun.

Thanks for the welcomes!!!

DDewar, I believe my Jeep has a back tow hook already but thank you very much! ;)

Would the upcoming MA fall crawl be considered a stock-friendly event?

You need to a part of a jeep club to attend or be an invited guest. If you promise to behave you can go haha. They do have class 6 runs that would work for you

Thanks for the info! I noticed in one of my replies, I mistakenly put "MA Fall Crawl" when I really meant the "MA Trail Run".

Some of the trails at the S. MA trail run are stock friendly. There are some harder spots we also do but they are easily be skipped. You may need a tug or two if you get hung up on something there. That's what the tow points are for. :)
