My "big vacation" for next year is already planned. It is our 25th Anniversary on October 22, 2013. We're going to do a Mediterranean cruise next fall.

We've been prepared to go it alone for a while now and have amended the plans a little to suit, leaving a day earlier and going to stop a little earlier each night instead of doing 14 hour days. William is getting leave and flying in on the 8th from Camp Pendleton. Got a house sitter confirmed as well.

I plan on doing a more scenic run instead of hitting the hardest trails out there. I may still contact Dan Mick and see if he still can guide me on one day the last weekend to hit the good stuff.

Yup, alone to Moab and the easy/scenic trails and nope, to wheeling alone anything that will require any technical driving.

<Sigh> Our little three person trip has turned into a two person trip. Will's leave was denied due to a few factors including that too many people were already on leave for that week. He even tried to get a later departure date (Thurs instead of Monday but it was a no go).

On a good note though, T-7 days when I wake up tomorrow morning.

If Dan is leading another group and they aren't too big you may be able to join up with them and share the rate.

When we were there in '09 he brought passengers. I'd bet he'd be ok w/ another rig in a small group.

Thanks John, been working that angle as well. Plus, some of the Killington JJUSA guides I know are going to be there as well, but they are only renting Jeeps for one day and spending the rest in the National Parks.
