'04 TJ crossmember bolt size

Unread post by norstar »

There should be total of 6 holding the tranny crossmember/skid but 2 are missing on mine. Anyone know the correct size? Thanks!

Thanks Kurt! I could just take one of the 4 out and go find a match but I really don't want to risk snapping it off and open a can of worms. :-o I'm not ready to deal with a broken/spinning bolt at the moment. ;)

oh I wouldn't worry about snapping the bolt off :handgestures-thumbupright:

but a spinnah? well, I guess it could possibly happen.... maybe...... :confusion-helpsos:

Carl,
In your case the nutsert wasn't spinning, the remnants of your frame was :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: :-o :-o :-o

You say Spinnah  I say a Spinor... :-o

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Spinors in general were discovered by Élie Cartan in 1913.[1] Later, spinors were adopted by quantum mechanics in order to study the properties of the intrinsic angular momentum of the electron and other fermions. Today spinors enjoy a wide range of physics applications. Classically, spinors in three dimensions are used to describe the spin of the non-relativistic electron and other spin-½ particles. Via the Dirac equation, Dirac spinors are required in the mathematical description of the quantum state of the relativistic electron. In quantum field theory, spinors describe the state of relativistic many-particle systems. In mathematics, particularly in differential geometry and global analysis, spinors have since found broad applications to algebraic and differential topology,[2] symplectic geometry, gauge theory, complex algebraic geometry,[3] index theory,[4] and special holonomy.[5]
:?
Either way I decided to alter the original quantum state of the relativistic electrons of the frame inserts to ensure the spin of the non-relativistic electrons of my replacement frame were permanantly altered via Gas Metal Arc Welding :music-rockout:

So I thought I lost two bolts...
Actually I only lost 1 and the other snapped off. Did I say I don't have time to deal with broken bolts? :angry-cussingblack:
