Hard to say Frank! But I'd start by looking for '91-up units as the brakes/unit bearings are more common. I've seen '92's with and without the disco. You can always put in a one piece shaft to replace the 2pc disco shafts ya'know!!!!!

Yep, just fab up a plate! You might have to deal with a c-clip on the inner 2-pc shaft. Some had it, some didn't (it's a Jeep thing!)
'93 might've gone both ways, that white XJ I got off you was a non disco with 260x u-joints (no I don't have the housing any more!!!!)

Frank, on my old '92 housing, I replaced the 4wd indicator light switch on the disconnect housing with a bolt which kept the collar locked.

If you compare the physical size of the disco shafts, you'll see they're actually pretty big compared to a non-disco long. 99% of the time, the shaft breaks at the spline, unless the u-joint blows wiping out the ears of the stub.

I have a '98 non-disco housing I still want to sell... Just drop your gears in it.
