Where I'm at now:
Rear end on jacks, old axle shafts out, old emergency brakes removed.
New axles are Yukon chromoly upgrade.
A few questions for those of you who maybe have been through this?
1. I opted to replace the entire parking brake module (plate and hardware).
The old ones had to be tapped off with a hammer. Are they press fit? It seems like it but I don't want to destroy my axle hammering them on if it's not right.
2. My rear ARB air locker is leaking. Its definitely inside the diff, I popped off the cover but it doesn't sound like the fitting or seal or along the copper air line. It sounds like "inside"? I will probably take it back to the installer, but I was hoping to fix myself. The carrier seems extremely tight and I don't want to pull anything apart I can't put back together safely
It does seem to work, maybe? If not for leaking. I think it needs a rebuild
Wish me luck and hopefully I will be ready for the spring meeting!

Re: Spring repairs
Well I finally found a video where showing replacement of the entire parking brake module:
I think I ordered cheapo ones (Dorman?). Maybe a Mopar part will fit better? I cleaned up the axle tube end quite a lot but I bet a little more sanding wouldn't hurt.

Re: Spring repairs
The arb does not put air in the actually locker. There is a collar on the side where the copper line attaches to. That has o rings on it that go bad usually when over pressurized or oil is contaminated. The carrier needs to come out to change it.
Do it right the first time!

Ahh, ok. yeah so if air is just leaking past the seal it would probably sound just like I'm hearing. I have a replacement seal in hand... we'll see.

Re: Spring repairs
Unfortunately, it is not the air seal. There's something worn or damaged internally.
I have it out on the bench, with a new air seal collar and o-rings, and I can engage it (a shop air compressor), feel and hear it lock and unlock. But while it is engaged, there is a definite leak of air from somewhere inside.
I'll be calling the original installer for help at this point....
