The use of the winch in this pic is awesome. took me a minute to figure out what was going on! Pretty unimpressive winch safety going on there though on the left side of the pic.

Yeah, not sure I'd be watching the repair while standing/sitting under a cable. Looks like a good pic for the 101.

actually the winches were barely tight. just enough to keep the rig from moving side to side and possibly falling off the high lifts. one winch and one hi lift per side. didn't want the rig falling on anyone working underneath!

All the weight was on the lifts. The winches were only providing lateral support to keep it from moving sideways. They would have done practically nothing to support the Jeep if the jacks had given out, that's why the tires were under the wheel hubs. I was sitting under one of those winch lines for a while. If I thought there was even a remote chance of them failing catastrophically I wouldn't have been sitting there. Believe me, it looks scarier in the picture! Frank was in far more danger under the Jeep than any of us around it!

Shut the hell up ! You werent there and there wasnt any danger to anyone unless you are 6'6 or taller. It made the vehical stable. There wasnt enough tension to hurt anyone. Bunch of ladies ! Cant wait till your 35 craps out . Nope ! Not here we need a lift with concrete, level, and warm ! The job got done. No one died ! Have a nice life. FjR68
