Anyone see this? Terrible tragedy. I wonder how it will affect the sport. Wasn't this one of the areas they wanted to close.

that is horrible. It blows my mind that people would feel safe that close to the 1 ton projectiles. I feel sorry for all those involved especially the driver and survivors they will all be haunted by that moment for life. :(

Think about it. It dont happen alot , but when it does , its sad. It wood be exciting as hell to have been that close. I remember winston Cup at watkins GLEN AND THE eSSES UPHILL. i COULD ALMOST HAND THE DRIVER A CUP OF WATER,TAKING PICTURES. Did I think I was in danger ? No I justified it by saying I was on the inside of the turn ! Now hear this ! Not one member in our club wears a helmet! Or their children. But we dont go that fast, Im just learning,I have a spotter. Its what makes it EXCITING ! Ask my two boys, Ive talked about wearing helmets for 4 or 5 years now. They whinned and I procrastinated ! But Im havin fun till I put my eye out ! FjR68

I keep a bike helmet in my rig when running with my other club. I think Brian does too.
