Hi everyone,

I just purchased some Pro Comp 7069 alloy wheels for my 2017 JKU. I got a great deal but now I need to find a shop to swap out my factory wheels and TPS sensors. does anyone have a suggestion?

I spoke with the service department at Harr Jeep/Dodge in Worcester and they quoted me $135.50/hour for 3 hours of labor. that's more than I paid for 5 wheels on 4Wheelparts.com.

I hope someone can help, I'd hate to have to pay more to change them over than I did on the total purchase. I'll try some smaller local shops too.

That's a reason to buy local. You may have saved on rims but paying more for labor. Try town fair in Auburn or NTB in Shrewsbury. Steve's on Shrewsbury street. Call tire places not dealerships

Petes tire barn in Millbury and New England tire care car center in Northboro have done swaps for me. I've used Hogan in Hudson as well, they were easy to deal with, definitely a benefit to going local.

Call up Standard Auto in worcester, I know they used to mount and balance for fairly cheap. Yes they are a junkyard but they do have the equipment....well used to last time I needed it. You could also check out Demers on West Boylston St, they are a tire and repair shop and have always been fair to me.

I've used NTB in Shrewsbury many times, including getting the Cepecs on my wheels last summer. I tend to drive in with a bunch of loose wheels/tires and come back the next day, though. I hate waiting around.

I'm going to Goodyear Tire in Webster,MA on Saturday. I've been going to them for years and they've always done good work on my previous vehicles. I was quoted $32.50/tire to swap my wheels and TPMS sensors. I'll let everyone know how it goes. I checked with a few other places but kept coming back to them.

I always thought that light meant "you're in offroad monster mode".

Sadly Frank nope, no way to shut them off unless you have a REALLY friendly person with a computer program. Some thing about safety requirements now....because its obvious we cant check our own tires anymore have to have a computer tell us about it.

Actually you can disable the TPMS. AEV's ProCal will let you modify the factory TPMS. You can change the low pressure threshold or disable it for off road. The AEV ProCal also has some other cool features that make it worth purchasing.

Same with the Superchips flashcal F5. You can turn off TPMS and adjust for larger tires. I purchased mine after I had 2 sensors go bad. The way I see it, its less expensive to buy the flashcal than it would have been to replace all 5 sensors and have the light cleared. It also doubles as an OBDII scanner and will clear trouble codes.

So there , dang computer . Take that ! That would trip the CEL every time you air down to wheel . Thats just stupid. Alright I have to ask ---- How does the lane departure warning feel about you being off road ? OldSkool Fool right here ! FjR68

Well now, I stand corrected. In the past you couldnt but apparently the aftermarket world has finally found a way.

Frank as to the lane departure....no clue but it isnt looking far so it might not have a clue what is going on. Thou at least on some of the 2017 and 2018 dodge cars it only corrected 2 or 3 times in a short period before dissabling itself. My buddy tried to find out how it did (he works at a dealership as a sales manager) and took a car out, put the lane departure on the most sensitive setting and the addaptive cruise control on and basically let the car drive itself on the highway. HE said it did ok for a while but it didnt like taking corners without a driver.
