Best wax for your Jeep?

A buddy of mine has a friend with a cousin that knows a guy who runs a premium auto body shop (they work on Ferraris, Porsches, etc). Whenever they want to put a perfect shine on a car for a customer in New England, this is the stuff they use. Apparently it was invented to protect electrical boxes and other outdoor equipment. Just one coat and the New England weather will bead off your Jeep for months. At least that's what this guy told my buddy's friend's cousin.

I figure this might be the last warm week before April, so I put it on today.

I also heard from the same source about this magic stuff that restores plastic (like fenders). I was thinking of getting a bottle for Cassandra for Christmas . . . ;)

I don’t think anything can restore Cassandra’s fenders

Nice shine on the Ruby, Matt. I see the Collin item is #845. Back in the day I used some stuff called formula 855 on tires and it was amazing. Then we couldn't get it anymore and I don't know if it still exists or not

Colinite is some decent stuff, but it is just one of many of the premium waxes that are out there and available. It is surprising the amount of product that is out there that most people do not know about. If you got a nice application your Jeep will bead water for a good while. The next thing is come spring time is to really go thru and try to correct that paint and get some of the shine back in it. Maybe look into a ceramic coating for it that can protect the paint for years rather than months.
