Hi guys. I volunteered to help park the bikes at the 2010 Molly's Ride this past weekend, with my friends from Underground Jeeps and Western Mass 4x4. The charity event honors the life of Molly Bish, a 16 year old lifeguard who was kidnapped and killed from Comins Pond in Warren, Ma 10 years ago. http://www.mollybish.org/index.cfm

We had an awesome turnout, with 510 motorcycles of all makes and models. The ride commenced at noon in Sturbridge, and we had a nice hour long drive. We had police escorts from the surrounding towns as we drove through. Riding shotgun with me, was Molly's father John Bish. We talked about everything from vacations we had, to our kids, and Polish food (it was awesome being around old school Poles again). It was so very nice to get to know him on a more personal level. I've followed Molly's case since the beginning, as it really hit home with me. When the ride was over, I helped John get out and he gave me a hug that nearly put a tear in my eye. I was so very glad that I was able to help out.

Here are some pictures from the event. I have some of mine that I will upload tonight.

John and Molly Bish have been servants of the community for many years and it's great to see the community giving back after the loss of their daughter Molly. John was a probation officer @ Western Worcester District Court in East Brookfield for many years and also a college professor @ Quinsigamond Community College, until he had a stroke. Good people that are still strong after much tragedy in their home.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend - I've had shoulder surgery recently.

Thanks to all that volunteered,

Songy
