Had a great time last weekend in Rutland! Realizing I need some Rock Sliders I wanted to get the groups thoughts.
2014 JKU with 3.5 and 37s
Right now I'm looking at a 3 options most of which come in Steel or Aluminum. Aluminum sounds better for weight and better rust prevention but wanted to get thoughts on strength and keeping them looking good.
STEEL:

Poison Spyder http://shop.poisonspyder.com/JK-4-Dr-Br ... 08-200.htm

ALUMINUM

Looking forward to the feedback! Have Poison Spyder bumper and Crawler tire carrier and happy with both so wouldn't mind sticking with one of those.

Lot of personal preference with sliders and you have to not mind drilling big holes in the body for the ones you have linked. They are forever. Aluminum will hold up to the elements better but won’t take a beating as well so you have to decide which is more important to you. If you want the strongest I would go for frame mounted steel ones. Both those vendors have a quality powder coating, so if you keep up on the scratches it won’t rust, I use VHT Roll Bar paint and it matches well. With what you have listed, I would choose steel Poison Spyder

Re: Rocker Slides (Al or Steel)
I love my steel PS brawler rockers. I was surprised after I ordered them at how wide they were.
They protect a huge area along the under side of the jeep. They’ve taken some hits and haven’t dented.
Installing them was pretty tough but well worth it. Make sure to get a good Rivnut tool!

Smart decision to get sliders. First on my list would be frame mounted steel, just waiting for some to come out for the JL...
