RR Steering components

So I was looking at Currie Currectlynk to replace / upgrade my tie rod / drag link. Absolute best price I saw was $402, shipped to my door
It took me a year and a half to pretzel my stock tie rod and even when that happened, I knew I was in over my head. My fault for not taking a strap. Lesson learned.
Got an email from Autoanything today, $25 off orders over $200 and free shipping. Translation: Rugged Ridge tie rod and drag link and TRE's, and a Skyjacker steering stabilizer (to replace my bent / broken one) for $202. Or half the price of a Currie with a stabilizer thrown in for good measure
I've heard mixed reviews about the Rugged Ridge system and if you have stories to tell, good or bad, I'm listening. Doesn't mean I'll change my mind but I learn a lot by listening. So what you got? You probably know that I wheel on the easy side, you won't see me following Brian's line
You think RR is a good fit for me, or is it 'don't waste your money', or is it somewhere in between?

Ive heard a better option than RR is a XJ tie rod. about 75 bucks and befier than an TJ.... may be just as good as RR...

Carl a Big Daddie tie rod you will never bend I have not bent it in 3 years The stock drag links last me 2 year They bend back with the winch LOL I bend my tie rod ends I replace 1 a year For me its not bad

You guys need to get your tie rod up and out of the way.
I think the RR tie rod is a pretty decent price for what you get, but then take it a step futher by mounting the tie rod on top of the knuckle with some sleeves from Goferit Off Road.

This is the closest picture I have to show what I'm running. I was also able to get a little more height from the HD CJ knuckles. When I mount my ram assist this summer, it's going to work pissah (I'll be able to turn going up hill backwards!!!)
You simply drill out the knuckle to 3/4", insert the sleeve, weld the lip of the sleeve to the knuckle, and insert your tie rod. The lock nuts they supply seemed to loosen up at Moab, so I replaced them with the regular castle nuts with stainless washers whose inner diameter matched the YJ tie rod perfectly. Everything stays nice and tight.

Even at $400, you can't go wrong with the Curry. My set-up has plenty of scrapes but is still straight as an arrow.

You mean ZJ... XJ parts are the same as TJ parts.

second that.. heard that also and its cheap
but yeah its a ZJ
i was going to try and find a wrecked ZJ and salvage most of its steering components seeing how they are more HD than TJ's steering components... you would think that jeep would put there more HD parts on a vehicle that is most likely to be wheeled... silly jeep
but also that sounds like a fair price you found carl

Carl : I have the RR tie rod and drag link. No Issues ! Like Joe said, Goferit and flip the linkage. They go from near center of the front cover to near top ! Best way to protect them. FjR68

I use a "Currie Correct linc" and a "Goforit" flip kit and I have NO ISSUES. Anything better than stock is good. Make your decision...

I think I suggested it to you once... Anyway, for my $ I think it is easier to just order new parts from a parts store rather than going through the hassle of pulling one from a wrecking yard and finding the TREs are shot anyway.

Went for the Rugged Ridge and I'm looking into the flip kit. If I was on 35's and ran with the big boyz I might have shelled out 2X as much and gone with Currie. Maybe.
So for $202 shipped, I'll be equipped with Rugged Ridge heavy duty tie rod and drag link, with new TRE's. AND a Skyjacker steering stabilizer (the stabilizer shaft got pretzeled too! I can turn right but you really gotta want it)
