Roll in bedliner?

Unread post by Hank »

So, I've had the carpet out of the Jeep for about 6 months, definitely prefer it, but would like to get some protection down on the floor, and maybe stop my mud mats from sliding all over the place. Anyone done roll in bedliner? Pros? Cons?

I've been looking at the Monstaliner product from MagnetPaints, it's got decent reviews, is advertised as UV stable, and it's got a smoother texture than some of the rougher stuff, for my baby-soft bare feet. I'm definitely open to hearing experience with other products, or the always popular "You're an idiot, this is a PITA, pay a guy to spray it with lineX or Rhino and be done."

Guy at work bought his already rhinoed but loves it.

Personally I like my bedliner carpets, soft on the feet, adds some insulation, easy in and out, and it can be power washed.
'97 thats been chopped up and put back together, and ready to take on the trails.

This is what I used near my rock rails and will be doing my floors. I was at Lowe's one day and they had 2 cans marked $5.00 each. What a bargain!!!

I have had great results with Raptor spray in liner but have used the bed liner rattle cans for the grill and fenders with very good results too. It's all in the prep work...

I've used a couple of the rattle cans for touchup on powder coated stuff (the bottom of rock rails, etc) and while I think it's good for that, I don't know that I'd want to try to lay it thick enough out of the can. Raptor looks good, but I don't have the supporting cast (compressor) to get it done.

Probably going to end up with the MonstaLiner, I'll try to get some pics and maybe do a write up. (Don't hold your breath, I'm notoriously bad at getting too involved in a project to document it, but I'll try to try.)

Thanks for all the opinions/advice. Now I just need decent weather and a long weekend.
