Rokmen Gas Tank Skid Install

Finally got around to installing the Rokmen gas tank skid that I purchased last year...or at least started the process.

THe old skid is out, but I'm wanting to make sure of something before I take the step...are the plastic spacers currently attached to the tank straps supposed to be removed? It appears so, but I want to make sure before I tear these off. I'm installing this on 2003 Rubicon.

Oh, and if I may vent for a moment....removing the vapor and fuel lines was possibly the most annoying thing I've ever done on this vehicle. Those fittings made we want to whip a wrench across the garage.

Chris - I took my spacers off. Didn't see a need for them.

When I took them off during the installation of Chris' skid it was because we couldn't install the straps without taking them off.

Thanks all. I should have been more clear in my initial message, but JW clarified. You can't get the straps into the new skid with those plastic doodads attached. Gonna tear those things off.
