All,

I'm interested in removing the under hood liner on my 2015 JK. However, I would like to make sure that I can replace it if necessary.

I notice there are several black tabs holding the liner to the hood; Does anybody know whether these tabs designed to be removed and reset?

If you are really careful removing them they can be reused. They are also pretty easy to get replacement ones at most all part stores.

Is there a benefit to removing it?

I removed ours when we switched hoods. Wouldn't mind removing it for good though.

Its there for noise reduction . It also holds in the heat. There is a cheap toll you can buy for the black things called Doose fastiners. Like a sideways pair of pliers , it slips under the head and removes it most of the time saving it for reinstall . FjR68

I have a 2013 and it never even came with one. I don't think you'll have a problem after removal..
