Rims and tire questions

This is the specs on some tires I was looking at ... for the future(next year maybe)
What numbers should I be looking at to know what rims they fit? My guess is in bold.

Yes, bold. Those might fit with no lift with those fender flares

Don't pretent to be an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but since this is so fresh in my mind having just bought tires, the number you have in bold is the best rim width recommended by the tire manufacturer. The "Approved Rims" is the range of sizes the manufacturer says is okay to use as well. For the ones I bought, the recommended was 8.5". The Approved Rim sizes were 7.5-8.5-9". My rims are 7.5".

Don't get load E! Your not driving a 10000 pound truck. Less chance popping bead aired down with slightly narrower rim. Like 8 or 9 inch Less weight too. But that's just my opinion.

Lol. I dont even know what load E means. Still looking at rims but notice the ones have have looked at are 8.5.

Edit- looked it up. Load E = 10 ply.

just say no to E's also tires that size you should change gear ratios, you will need to down shift a lot more.

Load E is all I've typically run because of the size tired I e gone with. With proper pressure in the tires, they ride smooth, and conform well also. On the street, I have em aired down to about 24-26 psi, and off road about 13. Load E has a stronger sidewall to cope with increased loads, but also helps it from getting gashed on rocks.

Been running load range Es on my JK since 2009, I have had no problems with them, they have plenty of sidewall flex, and I've never popped a bead. I did have a 6" diameter hole ripped in the sidewall of a General Tire all terrain (load range C) when I drove over a stump. I'd rather deal with stiff sidewalls that buying another $200 tire.

Being less stiff, wouldn't load range C offer more flex than E? I would think that is a highly desirable feature when off-roading. No?

A lot of people prefer load C for that reason Ralph. Load E is a bit more durable but for me the trade off in flex isnt worth it..

Cassandra when you look for Rims go with steel. I have an alloy rim and its getting chewed to pieces on rocks and stuff on the trail. Didnt really intend to may my JK a wheeler when I bought these rims... :?
