Hi there, my name is Marc. I am pretty new to wheeling only had my jeep out on one serious trail and some light class VI roads. This is my first jeep and I got it for a STEAL. Its a 98 ZJ 5.9 Limited that I picked up for $300, it has been affectionately named SNAGGLETOOTH. Cuz its not exactly the prettiest girl on the block but it gets stuff done. Ive replaced every component in the front end along with some other goodies all around. Lifted it 4" and stuffed some 33" tires on it. Armored up the underside. And about to make some custom rock rails to replace the beat up rockers. Hopefully get a membership app in soon and start going on some trail rides.

welcome. Seems like a really nice deal! I don't know much about ZJs but I would guess as long as the Jeep is 90% water tight you could pretty much replace everything else and still be ahead of the game.

You may want to take a look at the JCR sliders. May be another option and depending on cost of materials may save you a bunch of time.

The cheapest rails i could find were about $400 shipped and only covered the rockers. I can get the steel to make my own for about $175. And increase my ground clearance by replacing the rockers. My labor is free which is a big cost savings lol.
