Re gearing shops

Unread post by MDSRACING398 »

My neighbor got the jeep bug now, all he has left is to regear. Anyone know of any smaller shops that do regearing at a reasonable rate? I know of Elias and Mitchell I have had work done by each, but both are out of his price range. Thanks, Mark

I would think an average price to change both diff ratios if you drive the Jeep in . Most shops will be in the 800 to a grand. Thats about 300 for parts and the rest is labor. Its a real technical job that goes easier with the special tools . What if you take the axles only to them it would (im Guessin) be closer to 4/500 , and you buy the install kit and gears. Thats the way I price them when Ive done R&Ps. FjR68

The jeep in the picture is Ricky Barrert the shop owners rig. Its one of my favorite rigs to watch play. ;)
