TJ Rubicon Speedometer Calibration

After far too long, I'm finally upgrading my tiny tired to something a bit more appropriate to the jeep. I just need to figure out how to calibrate the speedo. On non-rubicon tjs you just have to swap out speedo gears. On the rubicon, it is unfortunately not as simple as its a electronic thing-a-ma-bob. Any recommendations or first hand experience on these things? Obviously cost is an issue.

Hey Dan, I have a calibrating module in mine. It's a splice wires and play tho stays in. Was like 200 bucks. But you can go to the jeep dealer and they can flash the computer to your tires size. Usually 50ish dollar job.

I was told they could flash my computer on the TJ but that turned out to be a nada. So may want to confirm they can with your particular ECM if they can.

I've been running the Superlift reprogrammer on mine for about 8 years now. Very easy to adjust with a GPS that gives your speed. Mine is mounted under the shifter boot. The initial install is a bit more time consuming as you have to intercept the signal from the t-case module and feed it to the Superlift and then back to the computer. Sounds worse than it is though.

That's the one I have to superlift truspeed. I had it on a different car before the jeep. Just called a buddy he says dealer needs be compedent or they just say can't do it. Also said check out yellow box. Like 100 bucks and plug and play no wire splicing like truspeed.

I'll definitely look into the yellow box. I found that in my 5 minutes of Google-ing at work. The superlift truspeed looks good, but I can save 100 bucks, I'm gunna do that.

All of this after checking with a local jeep dealer.
