Newbie in Malden

Hey all, I got my first Jeep last winter after being sick of stuck in snow with my little sedan. If I had known how much I'd love my Jeep I would have got one a long time ago!
I work at an animal hospital and I'm currently going to school for Vet Tech, and my Wrangler is perfect to cart around all my dogs. Recently I've been interested in taking to the trails so here I am. But I'm a total newb -- I read the requirements and I'm going to have to go out and get a lot of stuff, and I've never been offroading. My 2015 is completely stock and I don't even have a soft top (yet).
Looking forward to learning a lot here, getting my Jeep up to par and eventually breaking it in on the trails!

BostonGirl1983,
Welcome to the off road wheeling world. I think you're going to like it!
The required equipment to start wheeling with the club isn't all that great. Pick up a piece here and there and before you know it you'll have what you need.
Since you haven't been offroading yet I'd really encourage you to attend our Jeep 101 in April. It's a great intro for those wanting to get into offroading and also covers some more advanced stuff for intermediate wheelers too. It's a combination of outdoor classroom and practical skills application navigating your Jeep both in the controlled teaching area and then when we hit the trails. The trail run is a mild introduction to offroading on some beautiful trails in fields, woods, pastures, water crossings, mild to moderate hills and some close quarter navigation amongst the trees.
If you can make it please attend our Spring Meeting this coming Saturday! Info is in the announcement section at the top of our forum.

Thanks Kurt. I'll look into the Jeep 101 in April but unfortunately I'm working this weekend or I'd love to go. I'm excited to start this!

Welcome! I work in Malden so I've probably seen you around. I'm actually stuck here now. Hopefully we'll see you at a meeting or run very soon.
