Hi Baystate, im Paul, been involved with jeeps, wheeling and clubs for a long time. Ive had Cj's and a 89 YJ I owned since new, but I sold after building it too big to enjoy taking the kids for ice cream runs. So Didn't do much the last 10 years or so. But my kids were young and I was restoring my Willys. My son get his license in a few months, and the little exposure to jeeps and the woods he had he loved, so he wanted a jeep for a car when he get his license. So it didn't take me long to use that as a reason to get another Jeep. I just picked up a 2008 JKU X, low miles. 2" lift great shape and hit the lottery with a factory rear locker and electronic swaybar disconnect.

It will be my sons jeep eventually, and he really wants to get it out on the trails, so it should work out perfect for both of us. We have a few minor mods planned and want to keep it low, 35's , some skip plates etc.

I'll be joining the club in the next couple of days probably.

Cheers

Hey Paul :) Welcome to the forum , The Willys is fantastic ! My ride is a 74 CJ-5 and over the years Ive changed a couple things . My boys 23/21 grew up in our garage , not at the mall. I still get a kick outta watching their faces when wheelin. Was the best thing I could have done. Hope to see you on a trail soon. The Jeep Rally is in Ellington,Ct. on the 19th of Sept. A great way to meet and see other Jeeps like your own to see what they have changed and what works best. FjR68
