Hello everyone! I'm Aaron

Unread post by AaronPerry »

Just thought I would say hello!!! Filled out the aplication to become a member. I use to be a member of Cape Cod Jeep Club when I had my TJ (pictured below) but since I got rid of it and moved to another vehicle before my current Rubicon (pictured below) they have gone away. Looking forward to modding out the JK and getting back out on the trails!!!

*Edit*

Forgot to add, this is my 3rd Wrangler, 4th Jeep (had one Liberty) and have wheeled the crap out of my 2006 TJ.

My new little 2014 Billet Silver JK Rubicon (soon to be on 35s and with a 3.5" lift probably when I get back from the road) The new Mopar beadlocks already on order!!!

My 2006 TJ retired down to Florida

Hey, Aaron, welcome

Since you were in CCJ, are you down that way? I'm from Holbrook.

Duxbury here.

De-lux-bury, nice little town. Pretty good 4th of July Parade there. I used to go, but now I get dragged to Randolph's parade because I'm involved in a business there, so I have to put in an appearance.

Yes it's a great little town. Such a change from growing up in Somerville.

Just picked up my 3" Mopar Stage 3 kit today. I know there are better suspensions, cheaper ones and everything in between, but I want to try it out. After the frankenlift I had on the TJ I wanted to go a different route. I really don't plan on going bigger than 35s anyway so I don't care about the fixed control arms. I'm headed out on tour till Aug 7th and right now have the beadlocks on order, the lift in my kitchen and everything else will be ordered by the time I get home (bumpers, tires, stabilizer, winch, some armor, some lights, and club requirements).

Good luck with the lift. You shouldn't have any problems running 35's with that. I run them with a 2.5" Teraflex lift, with flat fender flares, no rubs no problems.

Ok here's an update now that I'm back from tour. So far on order or already have in hand is:

Suspension
Steering stabilizer
Beadlock Wheels (waiting to ship)
EVO Mfg Front Bumper w/Stinger / Rear bumper
Winch
Aux lights
Tires
Rubi Sway Bar Skid
CB setup
Goodies like compressor, grab handles, tow strap, fire extinguisher.

Once I get the wheels in I will have the suspension installed and should be able to wheel right after! Hopefully the wheels will be in next week (fingers crossed). Already installed the rear bumper, this weekend I'll do the front/stinger/winch and CB. Would love to get in a run or two before the cold weather kicks in. Hope to make something at the end of the month or next month for sure!!!

Hope to see ya all out on the trails!

Nice bumper. Pretty minimal, which is cool. Is that galvanized?
I like those recovery points, they look really tough.

Thanks!
It's aluminum. Rear with the shackle mounts weights about 20lbs. Front bumper minus the stinger weighs about 23lbs.
