Taking a welding class in Lexington MA this month

Hello Guys and Gals
I just signed up for a welding class at Minite Man tech. its a 2x a week 8 week class. 3-4 people signed up so far and room for plenty more. for the novice welder and not a certificate or trade class but gives you a foundation. there is a welding 2 calls in the fall as well.... 8-) anyone free on Monday and Wednesdays for a few weeks?

:shock: $550 for the class...... you can buy yourself a welder and practice from the interweb :-)
92 YJ 6Cyl > 3 " lift, ford 8.8 SOA on XJ springs with Aussie out back, D30 with alloy 30's and ARB up front 4:56. 35 MTR's, 10K Winch, SYE ,traction bar, onBd Air and lots of gently used skids

Yup. I bought an open box, never used Hobart Handler 190 on Amazon for $518. Jeff can be the welding instructor at future wrenchfests ;)

Tried that once, Monitor burned out the first time I hit it with the torch... :music-rockout:

Im sure I wont surpass the masters anytime soon but I will be nice to know how to do it properly.... 8-)

that's the going rate for those classes and when you think of it as ~$10/hour? It's not bad. And that cost includes all the consumables. It's not for everyone but for some, it's a fair deal

I paid $180 for a 10 week (one three -hour session per week) course at South Shore VocTech in Hanover a couple of years ago.

Current price is $240

Not bad Don! Wish it was closer, over an hour 15min from me without traffic. Lexington is closer.... maybe someone else can take advantage of that though... 8-)
