Hello Everyone,
My name is Grant and I am from Winchester Ma and currently live in Boston. I go to Wentworth institute of Technology and study civil engineering. I fell in love with the jeep community when I was 18. my first car was rear wheel drive and I decided that I wanted a beater car for the winter that I would get stuck less often with. This led me to the purchase of a 1987 Jeep Yj wrangler. That piece of junk was a blast to own. It was a 5 speed manual, rotted everywhere, and had over 360,000 miles but nothing could kill it. (infact the guy I sold it to still drives it) That jeep sucked on the highway which is why I bought a newer wrangler. In march of 2013 I bought a 2009 Jeep Wrangler with 17k miles om it. It is awesome, although a little more boring than my Yj.
My jeep was a stripped wrangler x when I got it. Completely bare bones with the 16 inch steel wheels and tiny 225/75/16 tires. Since purchasing it I have put on an Arb front bumper, projector fog lights, kmc enduro 17 inch rims, 255/75/17 tires, blacked out tailights, dual magnaflow exhaust, two kicker amps with a 8 inch rear sub, and kicker speakers all around, aem brute force intake, hypertech max energy programmer, and I am sure other things that I am forgetting as well.
In the future I am hoping to get the matching rear bumper, a fox suspension lift kit, and some bigger tires. Ive spent my summers on the cape driving on the beach and some fire roads but no serious offroad. I am pumped to join this group!
