So I bought a used steering shaft on ebay a few weeks ago from alljeepparts401. I got it for $.01 and shipping was about $9.00. it showed up relatively quick and they didn't ***** that I was the only bider and got it for a penny. So after I realized they were located in providence, I decided to get a bunch of larger items and make a drive down to save on the shipping.
So for 1 cent each I got a clutch setup (master and slave cylinder) windshield connector bars, heat exchanger (with heater core) battery tray with temp sensor.
For mor than a cent I got a 19 gal tank, front right axle, windshield wiper assembly with motor, another steering shaft (for $1.50) and an instrument cluster. everything came out to under $100.
they were pretty easy to find off rt 95 and were all pretty cool people.

So if you e-bay a lot, check them out.

So now I have my replacement gas tank, next is the new skid plate, and the tj should be road worthy again.

if anyone needs any heat exchanger parts, they gave me an extra one that was cracked, but the actuators and heater core are probably good.

Is that Jeeps Unlimited? I've heard mixed reviews, some really bad, but I've bought parts from them and never had a problem.

I'd stay away from them. I know folks who have had issues and heard many other stories.

even after reading that thread, I'll stand by my recommendation. I agree it's not a conventional business. But they are very busy, and you can certainly get a good deal, but don't expect it to be a NAPA. while I was there they were stripping a tj that was in a collision and an older cherokee. and that was just in one yard.
great place for trail spares, and other stuff. but it's not a sears pickup window

I guess, if you continue to deal with them do so in person as much as possible instead of over the internet or phone and be wary of motors, trannies, t-cases, and the like.

I know someone who got a t-case from them that was junk, they would not take it back or offer anything else. It was bought in person.
