One year later...

Have you hugged someone today? Someone you love? Someone that just looks like they need one? Made someone smile, paid it forward? Maybe just made a point to have a good day YOURSELF?
Here we are at 364 days after a horrible incident. One that had Eve making a split second decision. Her last chance to do something for someone. I wish I could say what she did made a difference in a positive way. I wish she were still here, laughing and talking, and just being Eve. I wish her friend were still here, and his wife still had a husband. I wish that day could have stopped before it started. But she was having a great day, with friends, showing them her town. Just goes to show you, how things can change in small moments, and leave a lasting impression. A tear in the fabric of so many lives. Enjoy your days, your moments with family, friends, and even just people you meet in passing. LIfe is far too short and fragile to NOT make the most of your time here.
I have heard from her Mother, just as an FYI, her son is doing as well as can be expected. He is still in college, has moved, and will be going back again in the Fall. She is forever happy and thankful that he is in her life.
Missing you Eve.
