RUFKM? $400? Mopar's out of their mind...

Unread post by DDewar53 »

So I backed into a tree and bent the rear bow on my softop on Sunday.

List price for a new one is FOUR HUNDRED FREAKING DOLLARS!.

This web site will sell me one for $300.

Are you kidding? Guess I'll have to see if I can bend it back...

I can see if I can do better, Don. Is it too late? If you have the part number already, very helpful.

Thanks, Mike.

I'm going with the Bestop frameless top, then I won't have to worry about this any more. I ordered it from Offroad Elements this morning - he's also a friend and local to me.

That's crazy high money for a bent piece of tube...

This is the same company that sold me an extended warranty for my vehicle which included "struts and components" and then told me that my vehicle had "coil over shocks" so they weren't covered when I needed to replace a leaking unit... Why wouldn't you expect some asinine pricing from them?
