So, since I rolled my XJ 2 weeks ago, my wife took the insurance $$$ and bought herself a shiny new to us Nissan Quest. I am now the proud owner of her 99 WJ. I hate it. Leather sucks, climate control? Wtf is this crap?? Ok rant over, anyway, how do these things wheel? I'm a diehard XJ guy, but I can't buy another yet. The wj has metric 31's, on it, so I'm thinking 2" bb and some jk rubicon wheels and bfg's. Any personal opinions?

D60 w/Detroit and discs brakes in rear by East Coast Differentials, steel aftermarket upper arm in rear, long arms in front.
285/75R17 Toyo Open Country M/T on Interco Bird Dog wheels
Bilsteins all around, Old Man Emu steering stabilizer
PSC Steering box and hydraulic assist
Armor it!
and
Armor All the leather.

The budget boost works, but puts a lot of stress on the ball joint on the upper rear control arm assembly. At rest with the budget boost, it's at it's limit of mobility, and these are a weak link in OEM form.
JK 17" rims work nicely on them.
Toyo Open Country M/T.
As you replace stuff, skip over the parts store stuff. Ball Joints - Skip ahead to Synergy Suspension, because life time warranty parts like Moog will get replaced with every tire rotation. Skip the white box unit bearings and get the best ones you can. Any hydraulic shock is a waste of money, insist on gas charged shocks for it.

WASH WASH WASH WASH you cannot wash it enough.
