Rockin' the 30s

I sold my LTBs out from under my XJ, going to Toyo Open Country M/T in the 285/75R17 E flavor.

So I slapped these 16 year old BFG MT 30x9.50R15s on last night and went for a rip. It's not really news worthy, but I have to laugh at how well the XJ handles with 6" of lift and T&T long arms and no sway bars.

This stupid lifted Jeep rides better and handles better than my wife's beautiful stock ZJ and my 2" lifted V8 ZJ. It is really, really fun to drive and oh so quiet.

I sold the 30s out from under my XJ, went to Joliet Jake's inspection tires in the 235/75R15 flavor...
And then my new wheels and tires arrived.

I got to compare the passenger car tires to a load range E tire.
An all season tire to a radial mud terrain tire.
A 28-29" tire to a 34" tire.

I have to say, the Toyo Open Country M/T is a quiet tire. Really quiet.
And smooth, like a mayonnaise sandwich.

I can't be the only person that thinks it is weird that my trail rig rides better than my other Jeeps.
