I'm a good kisser...

...As noted on my application for membership I am mailing tonight.
I know so many of you and have some good friends and Jeep buddies here, so I figured I'd pull the trigger on joining another club.
A pic of my Jeep... As you can see, I either stink at picking a line OR I am a show off poseur freak show.
T&T Long arms, 6" lift, BDS springs and shocks, lockers are on it now. And some Atlas II 3.8:1 goodness.
Coming soon: 4.10 regear front, an 8.25 4.10 rear I am adding disc brakes to. Slightly larger Toyo Open Country M/Ts, because I am sick of chicks enjoying the ride too much with bias ply tires.
(Yeah, that just happened.)
Seriously, I'm going to a load range E radial tire for longer tread life, less noise and a smoother ride.
I am not a member yet.
I started off roading in the early 90s as a passenger in my best friend's SBC powered CJ and MY FORD TEMPO.
For X-mas in 1995, I bought my first 4x4. An AMC Gremlin on a stretched CJ5 chassis with small block power. It was quite the P.O.S.!
In 2004 I was into off roading enough, and had seen all my favorite places get shut down, so I joined a club.
I am very passionate about land use, acquisition and Tread Lightly! practices.
What we do is inherently dangerous, but I put safety first on the trail. Driver safety is important, but we like risk and adrenaline. Bystanders are not always aware of danger, and I see that as the biggest opportunity for safety improvements. If there's a winch in play, I will as assertively as I have to let parents and children know to stay clear. I watch for things like people being in danger of unexpected acceleration, gravity - whatever it is.
So there you have it.
Except the good kisser part. I'll save that for another post.
