Hi everyone, looking for some advise. I am looking to change my gears. Once I installed my 4" lift and new 33"tires, my TJ has been lagging power, especially on hills. I am looking to go to 4:56 from 3:73. I have been looking a the ones from Rough Country, they are called Motive gears. Front and rear go for $469 and it comes with the install kits. Has anyone use this before or have any idea how good they are?

Looking for suggestions.

I have Motive Gear ring and pinions in my Scrambler. Good product. If your price includes parts for both front and rear axles it sounds pretty good. I would check on Summit Racing just to compare prices.

gear set up is not for the novice, I helped install a few sets on my rig and you really need to know what you are doing...

This...
If you don't know much about gear setup you should do a lot of research on what is involved and decide if you want to try it or not... If you don't get it right it is both expensive and a PITA. I would suggest you seriously consider taking it to a shop that knows how to do it, especially if this a DD.
