Just installed front tj axle shafts into a yj and cant get the passanger side shaft to seal. We installed a cr 11800 seal into the ps axle tube, good tight fit. cant stop it from leaking, done this twice now. I done this to my 91 with no issues. The shafts are from a 97 an the yj is a 88. Any sugeestions????
thanks

I assume you installed the CR11800 in the axle tube inside the pumpkin.
- Possibly the wrong seal was in the box? Have had that happen more than once.
- Check the axle shaft for any scoring on it's seal surface.
- Possibly the breather is clogged causing the seal to leak when the diff heats up.
- You might want to measure the shaft seal surface diameter of the shaft to be sure it's correct. It ought to be 1.2" in diameter.

I also had seals that fit the diff housing but were to big for the axle shaft. Make sure (like Kurt said) That they are tight on the axle shaft also. If oil gets out , water gets in ! FjR68
