Re: James from worcester ma
I have a 2012 JK sport. (first jeep) (I have done all my wheeling on two wheels) It has the 285 horse v6 with the auto trans. (my wife has to drive it) However, with the ability to downshift with he his/her feature it is quite good. I am able to pull the sifter to the left and it will go to the appropriate gear at that speed, then I can further downshift by tapping the shifter to the left. to shift up I just tap to the right. Seems to have all the advantage of manual without having to shift all the time. I know most people like the manual, and I have a harley and love to shift and can't imagine an automatic bike, but this works good for now. My wife and I plan on trading in for a four door with in the next seven years (warrantee ends) so I don't want to put too much into it. right now it is bone stock with the soft top. Got a great deal on it. it was used with 3000 miles and I got it for 20K. I was great in the last blizzard. had no problems until the drifts got higher than the hood then I had to get plowed out. I'm hoping there are trails around worcester that won't require much mods to go on. I would love to get together with any of you that live in the worcester area and have a beer and talk about the club.

Welcome to the club James. Unfortunately only legal wheeling trails left are in Florida & Northampton, Ma. We have lost many great public trails the past few years. Private land/NEA4WD trails are what the club uses now. Just keep your eyes on on the trail schedule. Also BSJ has a Jeep 101 Course Scheduled in May and it is very good. I am sure you would enjoy it.

Auto bikes arent that bad. Its a little weird stopping at a light and down shifting to a stop without pulling in the clutch . The instant you apply throttle you go and start shifting. You get used to it. Welcome to the club , hope to see you on a trail. FjR68
