COULD USE A LITTLE HELP. I HAVE A 91 4.0 YJ AND IT UBRUPTLY STALLS, NO STUMBLING JUST FLAT OUT STALLS. HAS DONE IT AT IDLE AND AT SPEED. IT DOE'S RESTART RIGHT AWAY, BUT ITS ROUGH AT FIRST. I HAVE REPLACED THE CPS, COIL, COOLENT TEMP SWITCH AND O2. THE ONLY THING I FOUND SO FAR IS A LOW BATTERY AND A CODE 15 ( SPEED SENSOR ). COULD EITHER ONE OF THESE CAUSE THIS?
THANKS

When it restarts do you have to keep the RPMs up or it stalls again?

I know on the TJs that problem is usually because of a bad battery. The computer freaks out and shuts off the engine and then when you restart the Jeep the computer needs to reprogram itself, hence having to keep the RPMs up because it doesn't know the proper idle. This is at least what happens on the TJs maybe something totally different for YJs. But might be worth replacing the battery and see what happens.

Droped in an exide orbital tonite, seem to run fine.
