Cages, Shock Towers, and Harness Bars, OH MY!

That's right kids! Pulled the trigger on a JD Squared Model 32 bender. Coming with it is an air over hydraulic pump and 2" 1.75" and 1.5" dies.

I'm going to do a proper cage in the JK and I need it to bend the shock hoops for the ORI's. I also have aspirations of building a buggy from the ground up sometime in the future.

Start thinking of projects you need to to do with t00b and once I get my rig done I can load it out or if its something small come by the shop and we'll get-r-done there!

Have you thought about getting a tube notcher too?

Definitely getting a notcher too, just haven't decided which one to get. T00b Shark would be really nice. Also significantly more than I was willing to spend. The Model 32 I got is basically an HD version of their Model 3 which has been around for long time and a very well thought of bender. Basically a good balance of quality and cost for a home unit...if I was using it every day, definitely would have been a Tube Shark.

How are the JK factory bars? My main hoop on my YJ is stock and has taken a lot of abuse and rolls and is still OK.

The B pillar is the weak point on the JK's. Its about 2x4" stamped square tube at less than 1/8" thick. I have a good bit of tube welded in now, but the starting point is JunK.

That sucks about the JK bars. You think they would have gone a bit beefier than YJ/TJ's with the slightly heavier rig.
