XJ Rear disc conversion? Maybe?

Looking at what's involved on a rear disc brake conversion on my '97 XJ. Maybe. It needs brakes (or at least that (CLUNK!! fixed) and the conversion on my TJ was no big deal. I have no experience with 8.25 diffs (but pretty sure they don't use c-clips). Also read that the 97 - 01 XJ's are the 'dark ages', where Chrysler used whatever was on the shelf and there's no rules on what you have or what you might find, once you tear into it

I know John did a big-dawg conversion on his rig, that's way out of my zone. Anyone have any experience with a 'DIY in the driveway' conversion?

If this is big $$ or a PITA, I might just ask for help doing the shoes / drums. It's not like this is driven a lot, and this could be its last brake job. But last time I did drum brakes, it was....

Chryco 8.25's are C-clip axles. That shouldn't have a big impact on a disk conversion (using Grand Cherokee parts), but for a stockish rig, I don't think it's worth it. Drums, shoes, and hardware kit are pretty cheap.
