it's driveable with front wheel drive, but i just picked up a new rear DS that i'll be throwing in tonight. still need to do even more tranny mount modifications to make it fit without touching the body, and then fab up a cover plate for the giant hole. s-load of work! thanks again for all the help, i'd still be out there wrenching if it wasn't for u guys.

already have a 1.25" in, didn't want to go any higher.DOUG wrote:Body lift, drop the t-case skid...
with the long wheelbase the belly of my jeep hits constantly right now (anyone remember the shovel?) and i really don't want to lose any clearance. but you're right, those are the most logical/simplest things to do!

I can see why you did the cutting
I little tin knocking and you'll have it covered up with a custom floor panel

If you leave it open you can check your fluid level from the driver's seat.

Get some Eastwood seam sealer for when you close her up again. I've used it before and it's pretty good.

X2 on the seam sealer! Used it on the Heep when I replaced major portions of the floor.
You can't bolt on experience!!!!!!

new floor piece in:
and to help make a little more space, i spent a lot of time straightening and gusseting the skid:
big thank you to Andy for all the help. we (he) made a spacer to move up the lowpro mount so the bottom of the atlas just misses the skid, therefore giving me even more room up top versus the stock tranny mount. cali didn't make him too soft, the man still knows how to fabricate!
