Will I pass inspection?

I'm looking for some input on whether I will pass inspection. I'm doing a small overhaul and now would be the time for some modifications if needed. Here are the details of my current setup.

1982 CJ5
4" suspension lift
2" body Lift
35" tires

Also someone mentioned to me that since i do not have CAT's installed on exhaust they might give me a problem. I have a chevy 350 with dual flowmaster exhaust.

Any insight on how they inspect this would be appreciated.

Technically, with that much lift and no cats. It's a fail in MA. Federal law requires vehicles that came with cat converters retain them. There's no sniff test on a vechicle that old, but they still do visual checks of basic smog equipment. As far as vehicle height goes, that all depends on the inspector and what kind of day they are having.

I just passed on Friday with 4.5" lift and 35s...

HOWEVER, I replaced my exhaust this year. Last year I was "yelled" at because 1) it was falling off and 2) it was louder then stock. That was the first time someone said something to me. I had a FlowMaster for 8 yrs!

i've passed twice before with no CATs but was "warned". Honestly i was more afraid of them giving me a hard time because of the lift. Asaur17, where did you take it for inspection?

I've had luck at Snows Garage 258 Irving Street, Framingham, and a local shop in Hudson, MA off of 85 next to Rite Aid.. I am having a mind blank with the name.

Does anyone have a preferred inspection shop in western mass they could recommend?
